Rhyu Taro Seminyak consists of a large centralised living and dining pavilion with generous built-in sitting areas under an airy loft-style rattan ceiling. Two adjoining bedroom structures, a library, a large swimming pool and outside courtyards are accessed by an adjacent covered walkway, which spans the length of the villa. At the far end of the swimming pool is a tiered stone plateau with a covered balé seating 6 in comfort – it s position offers a mirage reflection of the villa in the swimming pool at night.
The first of two air-conditioned master bedrooms is situated on the ground level – at the far end of the covered walkway. The bedroom features a king-size bed, polished teakwood floors and a luxurious indoor/outdoor garden en-suite. Folding French style doors open out onto a spacious breakfast veranda that overlooks the swimming pool and manicured gardens. Directly above is second master bedroom, which is accessed via a set of teakwood stairs at the end of the covered walkway. The bedroom also features a king-size bed with al fresco style bathroom and an open-air cocktail balcony that overlooks the pool and tropical garden setting below. A spacious air-conditioned library – with its own en suite bathroom – features a large daybed and doubles as a third bedroom.
The dining area – seating 10 in comfort – features a smart teakwood dining setting with leather-upholstered chairs. The setting overlooks an adjacent lotus pond, living room and lengthy swimming pool – with a tropical backdrop of soaring palms. The perfect evening setting amidst a plush décor with subtle hues of aubergine, burnt orange and natural contrasts of wood, stone and sands.
Indeed all embracing is a good way of describing this tropical dream retreat, with its tasteful Asiatic touches, terracotta tiled floors, contemporary design, central and private location – and it s close proximity to the buzzy cosmopolitan atmosphere of Legian and Seminyak.
